Welcome to Tikishla Park in Anchorage, Alaska. This park came into existence due to local interest in the mid-1970's and the good news is that the original owner of the land actually ended up selling it to the City of Anchorage for about one third of his original asking price. This was the first citizen-initiated park in the history of Anchorage. Ever since it's creation it has served many needs of the local community and the ice-hockey rink is named for Stanley Cup winner Stanley Gomez who used to live in the region. The park also boasts multipurpose recreation trails for all seasons so come out and explore.
