Welcome to Petersen Park in Tempe, Arizona. The picnic area has grills so bring some meats for cooking. This park is named for Neils Petersen, a Danish immigrant who moved to Arizona in the 1870's. Nearly two decades later he was a U.S. Citizen and one of the richest men in the region.

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, glass objects, littering.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; bicycling, boating, camping, fires, golfing, horseback riding, kite-flying, motor vehicles, skating, 

*The following require special permits; amplified sound, sales.
