Welcome to Redden Park located in Tempe, Arizona next door to Kyrene Del Norte Elementary School. This park is named after a very influently family from the region, the Redden Family. In 1888, James Redden and his wife and eight kids first migrated over to Tempe from California via a covered wagon. They established a 310 acre farm and James Redden eventually became the director of the Salt River Valley Honey Producers Association.

When he retired, James and his wife moved back to California but their five sons, Lowell, Byron, Mark, Homer, and Walter remained in Tempe. Today this park is named for the family's legacy they left in the town and the park has a picnic area with grills, two basketball courts, and access to the Sun Circle Trail.
