Welcome to Scudder Park located in Tempe, Arizona. This neighborhood park is named for Benjamin and Rebecca Scudder, who moved from Indiana to Tempe, Arizona. Benjamin Scudder became a school teacher and eventually was elected to the City Council. Both he and his wife are credited with the development of affordable housing in the region. Benjamin Scudder passed away in 1936 and was placed in the ground at Temple Double Butte Cemetery and ten years later his wife was buried next to him. Today this park has a playground for the kids and a picnic area with grills. Come out and bring some meats to cook, bring the kids, have fun!
