British Columbia Provincial Parks

Welcome to British Columbia's beautiful Bowron Lake Provincial Park located on the western slopes of the Cariboo Mountain Range. This is a place that is known by paddlers around the world with some journeys in the park taking up to a week and a half to complete.

The diversity of settings will give the user a very unique and pleasant experience. Some of the developed features include a campground with 25 developed campsites, miles of multipurpose trails, and much more. The only place where power boats are permitted is Bowron Lake, all other waterways are only accessible by non-motorized watercraft.

Bowron Lake Provincial Park was first established in 1961 and was named after John Bowron, a local expert in gold mining which was a major activity in the region in the mid 19th century.
