Welcome to Cesar Chavez Park located at the Marina in Berkeley, California. This park, once a landfill until 1991, was named after Mexican-American farmer and activist Cesar Chavez, who was born in Yuma, Arizona and advocated for workers rights in the 1970's. There are not many trees so it's a great spot to fly a kite on windy days especially at the annual Kite Festival hosted here each July. The picnic area has grills.
To contact the park office please call 510-981-CITY.
