Welcome to MLK Jr. Civic Center Park in Berkeley, California. The park, known for years as Civic Center Park, was renamed in 1983 for Martin Luther King Jr., the great Civil Rights leader who was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929 and died in Memphis, Tennessee in 1968. Many festivals are hosted here throughout the year. Come out and enjoy a festival or toss a frisbee on the grass.

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
*The following are prohibited; alcohol, camping, defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, smokinng.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, motor vehicles.
*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.
