Welcome to San Bruno Mountain State Park located in the Santa Cruz Mountains not far from the Bay Area. Many bay area residents come here on day trips to enjoy the park's hiking trails. Hiking is the most popular activity in the park and elevations range from 250 feet to over 1,300 feet above sea level. From the higher elevations one can enjoy fabulous views of the Bay Area. This park also protects the home of numerous plant and animal species including some on the endangered species list. Some of the animals include white-tailed deer, coyotes, bobcats, foxes, and raccoons. Near the entrance to the park there is a picnic area that has grills on site. There is also an open meadow which can be used for many types of activities. Come out and explore!
