Welcome to King Gillette Ranch Park located in the Santa Monica Mountains in Calabasas, California at the edge of Malibu Creek State Park. The Ranch is 588-acres of scenic greenery, offering three different trails for hikers. One of the trails offers a 360-degree view, coined “Inspiration Lookout” for a reason! The scenic view of the mountains is a serene experience.
The Anthony C. Beilenson Visitor Center provides information about the Santa Monica Mountain range with videos, maps, and documents to help navigate the area. There’s even a small gift shop! A fun fact known by locals is that the Ranch is where the Biggest Loser was filmed.
The park also includes the Gillette estate’s original landscaping, grand entrance, serene pond, and historic Spanish Colonial Revival style mansion. Note that the mansion is not open to the public, but you can still sightsee it.
Entry is free, but if you park for over two hours, it costs $7.
To contact the park office please call 818-878-0866.
