Welcome to Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge, a rugged mountain oasis of grasslands, oak groves, and freshwater springs located in Ventura County, California on the edge of the Los Padres National Forest and the Sespe Condor Sanctuary.
Wildlife: Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge helps protect the home of numerous wild critters including black bears, bobcats, mule deer, southwestern pond turtles, California tree frogs, golden eagles, and California Condors. Please treat their home with respect.
Due to the fragility of this ecosystem Hopper Mountain is not open for public use.
