California's Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is a hiker's paradise in the Mayacamas Mountains! Many people come here to hike to the summit of Bald Mountain to catch stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Sierra Nevada Mountains. Other sites to see on the more than 25 miles of trails in this park include a 25 foot waterfall, the Robert Ferguson Telescope Observatory, the headwaters of Sonoma Creek.

This land has a human history that dates back thousands of years to the Wappo People who used the lands many resources for hunting, fishing, and tool-making. Today it is a popular recreation area with 49 developed campsites, picnic areas with BBQ grills, and so much more.
