Welcome to Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Sacramento, California. This urban playground, like many parks across the nation was named for Martin Luther King Jr. the great Civil Rights Leader who was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929 and died in Memphis, Tennessee in 1968.
The picnic shelter has a grill.

Sacramento California Park Ordinances
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.
*The following are prohibited; alcoholic beverages (except during special occasions), defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, weapons.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, golfing, horseback riding, motor vehicles, swimming.
*The following require special permits; camping, sales.
*Unless engaging in the care, custody, or supervision of a person younger than the ages of 18, all persons ages 18 and up are prohibited from being at the playgrounds.
*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.
*All users of the skate parks must wear helmet and pads.
