Welcome to McKinley Park in Sacramento, California. This 32 acre park, like the highest peak in North America, is named for the 25th President of the United States William McKinley. McKinley was born in Ohio in 1843, went to law school in New York and then returned to Ohio to practice law before he was elected to Congress. In 1896 he was elected President and on September 6, 1901 he was assassinated in Buffalo, New York.
This park's pool has 8 lap lanes and a waterslide, the picnic area has grills, and all 8 tennis courts are lighted. Come out and see the beautiful Rose Garden.

Sacramento California Park Ordinances
*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.
*The following are prohibited; alcoholic beverages (except during special occasions), defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, weapons.
*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, golfing, horseback riding, motor vehicles, swimming.
*The following require special permits; camping, sales.
*Unless engaging in the care, custody, or supervision of a person younger than the ages of 18, all persons ages 18 and up are prohibited from being at the playgrounds.
*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.
*All users of the skate parks must wear helmet and pads.
