Welcome to San Diego's beautiful Rose Canyon Open Space Park. Long before the first Europeans arrived in the region this was prime hunting ground for the Kumeyaay Native American tribe. The canyon is named for Louise Rose who established a ranch here in the mid-19th century. Some of the resident wildlife include coyotes, skunks, deer, and foxes.
