Las Trampas Regional Wilderness
Welcome to Las Trampas Regional Wilderness located in San Ramon, Ramon California. This park boasts major geological formations that were uplifted by the Bollinger and Las Trampas Faults. These formations include the Pinole Tuff of volcanic origin, the El Sobrante Formation which boasts layered fossil rocks, and the Orinda formation which boasts remains of ancient beach and shoreline.
Flora and Fauna: Las Trampas Regional Wilderness helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the park boundaries include black sages, gooseberries, coffeeberries, poison oak, leaf maples, scrub oaks, and deer weeds. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include raccoons, skunks, squirrels, foxes, bobcats and golden eagles. Please treat their home with respect.
