Welcome to the beautiful Chumash Park, located in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains in Simi Valley, California. This is a terrific place for wildlife viewing and one can hope to see mourning doves, California king snakes, bobcats, coyotes, ground squirrels, red tailed hawks, great horned owls, and many others. The park also has a unique geology that is part of the North Pacific Plate which is still moving at a rate of about two and a half inches annually. Some of the rocks in this park have been around since the time of the dinosaurs. Come out and explore over two miles of multipurpose trails.
These hills are a good place for kite-flying when it's windy.
