Dr. Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park

Welcome to Dr. Richard H. Rioux Memorial Park located in Stevenson Ranch, California. This community park was named for a man who helped thousands of people with their drug and alcohol addictions and helped thousands others learn to read with an innovate literacy training program that he developed, Dr. Richard H. Rioux. Rioux served as Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Antelope Valley Rehabilitation Centers at Acton and Warm Springs and is well known as a great photographer and the author of two books. It is very fitting that a park be named for Rioux because he was very active recreationally and ran over two dozen marathons and climbed to the summit of Mount Whitney seven times. This park was dedicated in his memory in 1999 and provides the visitor with a basketball court, horseshoe pits, a picnic area, a playground for the kids, and much more. Come on out and have fun.
