Activities:

Hunting

Welcome to the Alamosa National Wildlife Refuge, a wetland oasis nestled in the San Luis Valley on the front range of southern Colorado. Alamosa National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1952 in order to provide refuge for birds traveling along the Central Flyway. In 1979, it was administratively combined with the Monte-Vista National Wildlife Refuge. Wildlife: The natural wet meadows, river oxbows, and riparian corridors help protect the home of numerous wild critters including songbirds, water birds, raptors, deer, beaver, and coyotes. Please treat their home with respect. For the lover of the outdoors this refuge boasts numerous nature trails and so much more. Come on out and have a blast!
