Welcome to the Colorado National Monument, a grand western landscape of red rock canyons, high cliffs, and sandstone monoliths over 1.7 billion years in age.
Flora and Fauna: Colorado National Monument helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the park boundaries include junipers, pinyon pines, mountain mahoganies, cottonwoods, and coyote willows. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include bobcats, mountain lions, coyotes, rabbits, squirrels, bighorn sheep, rattlesnakes, golden eagles, red-tailed hawks, and turkey vultures. Please treat their home with respect.
