Welcome to John Martin Reservoir State Park, a "sapphire on the plains" located in southeast Colorado. This park is considered to be a birdwatchers paradise with over 400 species documented inside the park.

Wildilfe: John Martin Reservoir State Park helps protect the home of numerous wild critters including raccoons, squirrels, prairie dogs, rabbits, coyotes, deer, and bald eagles. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts over four miles of hiking trails, two boat ramps, 213 campsites (over 100 have electricity), a swimming beach, and so much more. Come on out and explore!
