Brown's Park National Wildlife Refuge
Welcome to Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge located on the banks of the Green River in northwest Colorado near Maybell.
Refuge History: In order to help protect the habitat of migratory birds and other resident wildlife, Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1963.
Flora and Fauna: Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge Refuge helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the refuge boundaries include cottonwoods, willows, and Ute's ladies tresses. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include elk, mule deer, Ord's Kangaroo rats, otters, beavers, toads, ospreys, and bald eagles. Please treat their home with respect.
