Welcome to the Roosevelt National Forest nestled in the Rocky Mountain of northern Colorado. This forest was once part of the Medicine Bow forest reserve but renamed in 1910 by President Hoover in honor of the great President Theodore Roosevelt, who helped protect so many of the nation's lands.
Wildlife: Roosevelt National Forest helps protect the home of numerous wild critters including bears, mountain lions, raccoons, squirrels, deer, and bald eagles. Please treat their home with respect.
