Bluff Point State Park
Activities:

Hiking
Welcome to Bluff Point State Park, a wooded peninsula that juts out into the Long Island Sound and protects one of the last remaining pieces of undeveloped land on the Connecticut Coast. The State of Connecticut began to purchase the first tracts of land for this park in the 1960's and in 1975 the State Legislature designated it as a "Coastal Reserve" in order to help protect the park's unique ecology. Being of "Coastal Reserve" status means that there are no paved roads to this park and thus the visitor cannot access the park via a motorized vehicle. The visitor is however welcome to explore the park's multipurpose trails or cast out a fishing line. Come on out and have a blast!
