Welcome to Riverside Park located on the banks of the Connecticut River in Hartford, Connecticut. The land for this park was first purchased through city bonds in 1895 and was designed by the legendary Olmstead Brothers and the great Theodore Wirth, who also was instrumental in the creation of many parks in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It first opened to the public on September 3, 1898 and for over a century it has provided many recreational opportunities to the residents and visitors of Hartford.
