Welcome to Connecticut's oldest State Forest, the beautiful Meshomasic State Forest which was first established in 1903. The landscape was carved out by glacial retreat at the end of the last ice age thousands of years ago. The receding glaciers left many boulders on the forest floor. Today this forest boasts over 8 miles of dirt roads where many come to ride their ATV's.
