Welcome to Connecticut's Burr Pond State Park located in Torrington. It was on this site in 1857 where the world's first condensed milk factory was built by a woman named Gail Borden. 20 years after it opened a fire destroyed the mill in 1877. From Memorial Day through Labor Day people can rent non-motorized watercraft and explore the park's small lake.
