Welcome to Amelia Island State Park, located on the southern end of Florida's nothernmost island. This beautiful park is one of the few places on the U.S. Atlantic coast where one can do what Rose did in Titanic, ride horses in the surf. The park also boasts the George Crady Bridge fishing pier which juts out into the Nassau Sound. where one can catch flounder, sea trout, and others. A section of the Great Florida Birding Trail also goes through this park. The visitor can also rent canoes or kayaks or bring their own. There is so much that Amelia Island State Park has to offer for the human visitor. But please be mindful of the park's wild animals including sea turtles, seagulls, pelicans, and many others.

To contact the office please call 904-251-2320. This was RecPlanet place of the day on June 7, 2015.
