Jacksonville's Cuba Hunter Park is named in memory of the daughter of the land's previous owner, Deputy John Hunter. Cuba Hunter sacrificed her life in a traffic accident to protect her nephew from a drunk driver. The 10,000 square foot Skate Park is perhaps the park's most beloved features. It boasts a seven foot quarter pipe, a six foot half pipe, that have helped it to earn the title of one of the best Skate Parks in the United States. The park's picnic area has grills so bring some meats for cooking.
