Welcome to Flossie Brunson Park. The City of Jacksonville first purchased this land from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in 1974 and began construction on a new park which was originally called Eastside Park. A quarter century later the park was renamed in honor of Flossie Brunson, a woman who grew up in the area and did a lot of work to help improve the community. The baseball, tennis, and basketball facilities at this park have lights which allow for night games. Come on out and have fun. The picnic shelter has grills so bring some meats for cooking.
