Welcome to James and Downing Park, a tiny urban green space in Jacksonville, Florida. Before Jacksonville became a city in the true senese of the word this land was part of a 1,000 acre plantation that was owned by a man named Elias Jaudon before the start of the Civil War. In 1922 a real estate developer generously donated this land to the city.
