Welcome to Jennings State Forest located in north central Florida. This forest was purchased with funds raised through the Conservation and Recreation Lands Program, Preservation 2000 Program, Save Our Rivers Program, and the St. John's River Water Management District. Flora and Fauna: Jennings State Forest boasts many different types of natural communities including dome swamps, flatwoods, and slope forests, that helps protect the home of numerous plant and animal species. Some of the plants that grow inside the forest boundaries include pine trees and Bartram's Ixias. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include raccoons, squirrels, white-tailed deer, hawks, and alligators. Please treat their home with respect. For the lover of the outdoors Jennings State Forest boasts miles of multipurpose trails, canoeing on the North Fork and Black Creeks, and so much more. Come on out and have a blast!
