Welcome to the oldest Park in Pinellas County, the beautiful Philippe Park, first established in 1948. This park is named for the region's first white settler, Odet Phillippe, a man who owned 160 acres in the region and became a successful businessman who sold oranges and cigars. When he passed in 1969 he was buried in the land that is today's park but the exact location of this grave is still not known to this day. Today this park boasts a Native American burial mound that is on the National Register of Historic Places, a softball field, a boat ramp, eight picnic shelters, and much more. Come on out and have fun.
