Welcome to Fredd "Glossie" Atkins Park in Sarasota, Florida, a suburb of Tampa. This park is named for the first African American to be elected both City Commissioner and Mayor of Sarasota. Perhaps the park's most unique feature is the Dedication Wall dedicated to many "first African Americans" to hold certain offices and jobs in the region.
