Welcome to Florida's beautiful Ochlockonee River State Park located near where the Ochlockonee River flows into the Gulf of Mexico near Sopchoppy. Ochlockonee itself is a Native American term that means Yellow Waters. As the founder of RecPlanet I first visited this place in March of 2013. It is very peaceful and beautiful and a great place for kayaking and winter camping. During the day you can see the unique white squirrels and during the night it is not unusual to hear the hoot of an owl.

Camping: 28 of the park's campsites have electricity.

Picnicking: All of the picnic areas have grills so bring some meats for cooking.

Fishing: This park is unique in that it is a combination of freshwater, brackish water, and saltwater so there are all types of fish to catch.
