Welcome to Lake Jackson Mounds Archeological State Park located in Tallahassee, Florida. This park's central feature is it's six Native American mounds the largest of which is 278 feet by 312 feet at the base and 36 feet high. Each mound is estimated to be over 800 years in age. One of the park's other historic features is the remains of a 19th century grist mill. Before the State of Florida gained titleship, this land was owned by a man named Robert Butler.
