Welcome to Fernbank Forest, located in Atlanta, Georgia behind the Fernbank Science Center and across the street from the Druid Hills golf course.

Wildlife: Fernbank Forest helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, hawks, and owls. Please treat their home with respect.

This 65 acre forest can only be accessed through the gates behind the Fernbank Science Center. The paved trails only allow for hikers but it is a lush forest and a beautiful hike. Come on out and explore. Fernbank Forest was RecPlanet place of the day on September 25, 2014.
