Welcome to Zonolite Park located off of Zonolite Road on the banks of South Peachtree Creek in Atlanta, Georgia. This is one of the newer parks in Atlanta, and until the early 21st century the land was too polluted for recreational usage and was a threat to local wildlife. Today there has been great progress in cleaning up the land and there is a man made wetland that protects habitat for ducks, fish, turtles, and frogs. There are numerous trails going through the woods and this is considered a good spot for bird-watching. Come out and explore! The main entrance is off of Dalon Road.
This was RecPlanet place of the day on May 16, 2017.
