Welcome to Hawaii's beautiful Wailoa River State Recreation Area located near Hilo. Two of the park's most unique features include the Wailoa Arts & Culture Center as well as a statue of the founder of the Kingdom of Hawaii, King Kamehameha I. Here one can launch a boat into the river and access the nearby Pacific Ocean.
