Welcome to the beautiful Beaverdale Park located in Des Moines, Iowa. This large community park connects with the multipurpose inter-urban trail that is used for all seasons including cross-country skiing in the winter and biking and walking in the other seasons. Park of the trail goes through the woods where one can catch a glimpse of many animals such as raccoons, hawks, and squirrels. The picnic area has grills, so bring some meats to cook.
When visiting any park in Des Moines, Iowa please respect the rules.
*Conducting any organized event in any city park requires that one obtain special permission from the city. *Consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly forbidden in any city park.
*All burning is restricted to BBQ grills.
*Please respect all park property including buildings, fences, animals, and plants.
*For the safety of other park users, all glass objects are prohibited.
*No littering, please place all trash in proper containers, they are there for a reason. Please help keep Des Moines City Parks clean.
*All parks open at 6 a.m. and close 30 minutes past dusk.
*The following activities are only allowed in designated areas; boating, flying remote-controlled aircraft, golfing, swimming.
