Welcome to Iowa's beautiful and historic Effigy Mounds National Monument located near Harper's Ferry. There are nearly 200 Native American mounds located inside the park boundaries making it one of the largest concentration of mounds in the United States.
Park History: The park was first established on October 25, 1949 when President Harry Truman signed the legislation into law.
