Welcome to Thomas/Legion Park in Marion, Iowa. The history of this land goes all the way back to 1840 when the previous owner, Richard Thomas, built the county's first sawmill on this site. In the early 20th century the funds were raised to purchase the land with the help of the local community. Some of the building materials of the original mill are still in the park today. Come out and explore one of the trails or play a game of frisbee golf.
