Welcome to Alta Harris Park located on the banks of the Boise, River in Boise, Idaho. This park is named for a woman named Alta Harris, whose family migrated to the region in the early 20th century and set up sawmills and cattle ranches. Alta Harris was known for her love of Idaho's beauty. Alta Harris passed away on July 19, 2012, but her memory lives on in this park. Alta Harris Park was RecPlanet Park of the day on February 15, 2014.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; horseback riding, organized athletic play, fires, motor vehicles, swimming, fishing.
*The following require special permits; hot air balloons, overnight camping, use of metal detectors.
*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.
