Welcome to Raven Glen Forest Preserve, an oasis of wetlands, forests, and hills located in Lake County, Illinois. Over the years the Forest Preserve District has worked hard to restore the wetlands at Raven Glen Forest Preserve.

Preserve History: The land that is now Raven Glen Forest Preserve was once the site of an operating dairy farm known as the Raven Glen Farm. In the late 1990's the voters of Lake County approved funds that met with matching funds from the State of Illinois to help purchase this land.

Wildlife: Raven Glen Forest Preserve helps protect the home of numerous wild animals including raccoons, squirrels, herons, and meadowlarks. Some of the trees that grow inside this preserve include oaks and hickories. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors Raven Glen Forest Preserve boasts over two miles of multipurpose trails, two handicapped accessible fishing piers, an area for parking horse trailers, picnic tables, and much more. Come on out and explore!
