The beautiful Barnes Forest Preserve is located on the banks of Blackberry Creek in Aurora, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. This preserve was first purchased by Kane County in 1995 and since that time has protected the wildlife habitat of white-tailed deer, screech owls, red-tailed hawks, raccoons, gray squirrels, chipmunks, and numerous others. For the human visitor there are hiking and biking trails just waiting to be explored!
