Welcome to Burlington Prairie Forest Preserve located in the northwest corner of Burlington, Illinois. This is a rare landscape in that it is one of the few undisturbed prairies remaining within the region. The first tracts of land were purchased in the early 1990's and it was expanded in the early 21st century.

Wildlife: This Illinois State dedicated Nature Preserve helps protect the home of over 215 native species. Some of the resident wildlife include white-tailed deer, raccoons, squirrels, frogs, and turtles. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors Burlington Prairie Forest Preserve boasts many multipurpose trails and so much more. Come on out and explore.
