Welcome to Cary Veterans Park, first established in 1980 as Cary Park but renamed in 1996 in honor of the Nation's World War I Veterans. Today this park features two World War I cannons as well as a flag display and stone monument. Memorial ceremonies are held each Veterans Day and Memorial Day. The park's fountain, the Suchy Fountain, was donated by it's sculptor, local resident George Suchy in 1947, in honor of the veterans. Today this park boasts two tennis courts, a playground for the kids, and many memories of fallen soldiers. Come out and have fun.
