Welcome to Chicago's Bradley Park. This urban park was first established back in the mid 1940's when the developers of Jeffrey Manor generously donated a tract of land to the Bureau of Parks and Recreation which managed the site as an unimproved playground for many years until constructing a new playground and recreation building in the late 1950's and transferred the land to the Chicago Park District. For about 30 years the park was known as Bensley Park but in 1989 the local residents requested that it be named in honor of Josephine Bradley, one of the founders of the United Neighborhood Organization and a local community activist. Today this park boasts many opportunities for the residents and visitors of Chicago. Come on out and have a blast!
