Welcome to Chicago's Carver Park located in the Altgeld section. This park was first established in the mid-20th century and is named for the famous African-American scientist George Washington Carver who made many great contributions to agriculture. The park's community center offers many programs for kids year round from after school programs to day camp during the summer. There are also many seasonal sports programs.
