Welcome to Chicago's Dawes Park located in the Gresham neighborhood. This was one of many urban parks to be established in order to meet the growing recreational needs of the post World War II era. The park is named for Charles Gates Dawes, a veteran of World War I and 30th Vice President of the United States.
