Welcome to Chicago's Dickinson Playlot Park! This small playground was first established in 1909 when a member of the Special Park Commission Arthur Dickenson was convinced to donate a small piece of land that they owned to become a park. In 1915 the Special Park Commission split apart and the land went to the Bureau of Parks and Recreation which managed the land for 44 years before turning it over to the City of Chicago in 1959. Come on out and have a great time.
